Although I am still filled with ideas and inspirations to share with you from LondonFashionWeekend, I have decided it was rather high time for a introduction of another Hungarian fashion brand.
Life is just running past me and leaves me no time to catch up with all the exciting events happening in this fast paced industry, but I have decided to tell you about Balkantango, which is quite actual now due to their Velofetish exhibition in Berlin that presents Hungarian cyclist culture and showcases what influence urban cycling has on art and design.
Velo and fetish express all what WE, cyclist feel about bicycles and cycling. All that joy of freedom and flexibility.
Shortly about the brand:
With Füsun Ipek, the Turkish born Hungarian designer,
behind the brand, Balkantango stands for recycling without compromise. The designer
takes an eco-friendly approach to style by creating practical and everlasting
bags and accessories from bicycle inner tubes. Balkantango balances its
presence between Budapest and Basel and seeks long-lasting solutions in style,
shape and quality.
And an impression bubble from the exhibition:
The brand was also represented on the Berliner Fahrrad Shau, which happened just this weekend.

And as a used-to-be-Berliner all I can say:
